DVT Ultrasound

This scan is to assess the veins in your legs to exclude a clot (thrombus). You may have a swollen or painful leg from some trauma, surgical procedure or a long-distance flight and on occasion from being pregnant.

Preparation: No preparation needed.

After the Examination: If there is a clot, we will notify your doctor while you are still here to see what the next step in your care will be.
